The above video shows my first time using Educreations attempting to make a class on ASL colors. However, I did not like the desktop version at all. Then I downloaded the iPad app and completely changed my mind about it. The desktop web version is definitely outdated.

The app was easier to use with better features including trim tools to edit recording length, different backgrounds, ability to use fonts, and an option to save.

This is still passive learning, even though students can create videos after watching the one made by the professor. It is best used in an educational classroom where each student has access to an iPad. I did read of teacher rating this app and one said it's helped his science class because he makes the students watch the videos at home for homework and in class frees time up to discuss what was learned.
